It’s starting to get a bit nippy in the house, which kinda shows up the issue we have got no heating. No oil, no gas, just a great big cast iron and chrom Rayburn in the corner. This is supposed to be good for hot water, cooking and central heating, but hasn’t really been used by the previous owners, so it’s all a bit of an unknown, especially to us.
Tonight we lit it up and although we have had little luck working out how the hot water or heating works, we have cooked our first egg on it! Thanks Chickens!
Arran proving his Daddy’s first attempts at a mini soak-away to sort the drive water feature problems out were probably not adequate.
We uncovered this amazing piece of stone from the garden, sat under a huge mess of weeds. It’s obviously got some history, as it’s being carved carefully into shape and has roman numerals II carved into it. A spooky find.
That was the advice we read before having a baby. The only problem with that plan was, it took Libby a year until she had time to rest when Arran was resting
The chickens can’t believe their luck, being bundled in a cardboard box from their muddy home in suburban Chester, to emerge into a sunny wild foraging garden with a view!
We finally got the keys, after waiting out most of the summer.
